Partner program. Clear terms.
The rules for our affiliate and partner program. How commissions work, what's expected, and how we keep things fair.
Last updated: March 16, 2026
1. Program Overview
The Spreadu Partner Program lets approved participants ("Partners") earn commissions by referring new paying customers to Spreadu. These terms govern your participation in the program and supplement our Terms of Service.
By applying to or participating in the program, you agree to these Partner Terms.
2. Eligibility and Approval
The partner program is open to individuals and businesses. All applications are reviewed by our team. We may approve or decline applications at our discretion.
We look for partners who genuinely use or understand album design and photography workflows. This isn't a generic affiliate program. It's for people who can authentically recommend Spreadu to photographers.
3. Commissions
Commission rates depend on your partner tier and the type of sale:
- Rates vary by tier, from the default tier through higher tiers with increased percentages
- Subscription referrals earn recurring commissions for the lifetime of the referred customer's subscription
- Commissions are calculated on net revenue (after payment processor fees and applicable taxes)
Current rates and tier requirements are displayed in your partner dashboard. We may adjust rates with 30 days' notice.
4. Referral Tracking
Referrals are tracked via unique referral links and coupon codes assigned to your partner account. A referral is attributed to you when:
- A new user signs up through your referral link
- A new user applies your coupon code at checkout
Attribution windows and tracking details are specified in your partner dashboard. We use standard cookie-based tracking. If a user clears cookies or uses a different device, attribution may be lost.
5. Payouts
Commissions go through a confirmation period before they're eligible for payout. This protects against chargebacks and fraud.
- Payout requests are processed through your partner dashboard
- Minimum payout thresholds may apply
- You are responsible for any taxes on your commission income
Payout methods and processing times are detailed in your partner dashboard.
6. How to Promote (and How Not To)
We encourage authentic promotion. You may:
- Share your referral link on your website, blog, social media, and newsletters
- Create honest reviews, tutorials, and comparisons
- Mention Spreadu in relevant photography communities and forums
You may not:
- Use paid ads that bid on "Spreadu" or variations of our brand name without written permission
- Make false or misleading claims about Spreadu's features, pricing, or capabilities
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk emails with your referral link
- Create fake accounts or self-refer to earn commissions
- Use cookie stuffing, domain squatting, or other deceptive techniques
- Impersonate Spreadu or create confusion about your relationship with us
7. Using the Spreadu Brand
You may use the Spreadu name and logo in your promotional materials, provided you:
- Use only the official assets we provide in the partner dashboard
- Don't modify the logo or brand colors
- Don't imply an endorsement, sponsorship, or official partnership beyond the affiliate relationship
- Clearly disclose your affiliate relationship as required by applicable laws (FTC, EU regulations, etc.)
8. Fraud and Abuse
We actively monitor for fraudulent activity. If we detect fraud or abuse, we may:
- Withhold or reverse commissions tied to fraudulent referrals
- Suspend your partner account pending investigation
- Permanently terminate your partner account
- Pursue legal remedies where appropriate
We make every effort to distinguish honest mistakes from deliberate fraud. If something looks off, we'll reach out to discuss it before taking action.
9. Leaving the Program
Either party can end the partnership at any time:
- You: Withdraw from the program via your partner dashboard or by contacting us
- Us: We may terminate your participation for policy violations, inactivity, or program changes, with notice where reasonably possible
Upon termination, pending confirmed commissions will still be paid out. Unconfirmed commissions are forfeited. Your referral links will stop tracking new referrals.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Partner Terms from time to time. For material changes (especially rate changes), we'll give you 30 days' notice via email or your partner dashboard. Continued participation after changes means you accept them.
