Last updated: March 16, 2026

1. Our Commitment

Spreadu respects intellectual property rights. We are a platform built for photographers, and we understand how important it is to protect creative work.

We comply with the EU Copyright Directive, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and other applicable copyright laws. If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on Spreadu without permission, we want to know about it.

2. Filing a Copyright Notice

If you believe content on Spreadu infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] with the subject line "Copyright Notice" and include:

  • Your name and contact information
  • A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
  • The URL or location of the infringing content on Spreadu (as specific as possible)
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
  • Your physical or electronic signature

3. How We Respond

When we receive a valid copyright notice, we will:

  • Review the claim promptly
  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content
  • Notify the user who uploaded the content, providing them with the details of the claim
  • Provide the user with an opportunity to respond via a counter-notice

We aim to act on valid notices within 5 business days.

4. Counter-Notices

If your content was removed and you believe it was taken down by mistake or misidentification, you can submit a counter-notice to [email protected] with the subject line "Copyright Counter-Notice" including:

  • Your name and contact information
  • Identification of the content that was removed and its former location
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in your district (or Spain if outside the EU/US) for resolving the dispute
  • Your physical or electronic signature

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original claimant. If they do not take legal action within 10 business days, we may restore the content.

5. Repeat Infringers

We take repeat infringement seriously. Accounts that receive multiple valid copyright strikes may be permanently terminated. We maintain records of copyright notices and counter-notices to identify repeat infringers.

6. Misuse of This Process

Filing a false copyright notice is a serious matter. If you knowingly misrepresent that content is infringing, you may be liable for damages, including legal costs. Please make sure your claim is legitimate before filing.
