Inside Spreadu: Changing Spread Background Colours

One of the small things we care about in Spreadu is giving photographers more control without making album design feel more complicated.

That is exactly why we have added the option to change the background colour of each spread.

It is a simple feature, but it can make a big difference to the feel of an album. Not every design needs to sit on a white background. Sometimes a softer tone works better with the images. Sometimes a darker background makes a spread feel more dramatic. Sometimes you just want to match the mood of the shoot, the colours in the gallery, or the overall style of the album you are creating.

And because this is Spreadu, it is very easy to use.

Just open the layout sidebar and choose the shade you want for that spread. You can pick one of the default colour options, or use the colour picker if you need something more specific, such as a brand colour, a warm neutral, or a tone that fits beautifully with the photographs.

It is the kind of feature that does not need a long explanation, and that is probably a good thing. You should be able to make creative decisions quickly, see how they feel, and keep designing without getting stuck inside complicated menus.
