The ground rules.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses Spreadu, including all features, APIs, and shared content like proofing links. It supplements our Terms of Service.

We built Spreadu for photographers who want to create beautiful albums. These rules exist to keep the platform safe, fast, and fair for everyone.

Do not upload, store, or share through Spreadu:

• Content that violates any applicable law or regulation
• Content that infringes on intellectual property rights (copyrights, trademarks, patents) of others
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that exploits minors
• Content that promotes violence, terrorism, or hate against individuals or groups
• Malware, viruses, or any code designed to harm systems or users
• Spam or unsolicited bulk content
• Content obtained through unauthorized access to any system

If we discover prohibited content, we will remove it and may suspend or terminate your account without notice. We report illegal content, particularly CSAM, to the appropriate authorities.

Do not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, data, or albums
• Use the Service to send spam, phishing attempts, or unsolicited communications
• Overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without written permission
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Circumvent any usage limits, rate limits, or access controls

When you share albums via proofing links, you are responsible for the content those links make accessible. Make sure:

• You have the right to share the photos in the album
• The content complies with this AUP and all applicable laws
• You have appropriate consent from any individuals pictured, especially for sensitive or intimate photography

Clients accessing proofing links are also bound by these rules.

Spreadu is designed for photo album creation. Please keep usage within that scope:

• Don't use Spreadu as a general-purpose file storage service
• Don't upload non-photo content in bulk (documents, archives, videos) to consume storage
• Don't create automated or bot-driven accounts
• Respect your plan's storage and usage limits

If you access the Spreadu API (directly or through integrations):

• Respect rate limits. If you hit a rate limit, back off and retry later.
• Don't use the API to build a competing service
• Authenticate properly. Don't share API credentials or tokens.
• Follow any additional API documentation and guidelines we publish

If you see content or behavior that violates this policy, let us know at [email protected]. Include as much detail as you can (URLs, screenshots, description of the issue).

We review every report and take appropriate action. We won't penalize you for reporting in good faith.

Depending on the severity, we may:

• Send you a warning and ask you to fix the issue
• Remove the offending content
• Temporarily suspend your account
• Permanently terminate your account
• Report the activity to law enforcement where required

For serious violations (CSAM, active attacks on our infrastructure, illegal activity), we may skip the warning step and act immediately.
